Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. 

To start a return, you can contact us at shop@desertoverlandsupply.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. 

Customers will be responsible for the cost of shipping back product(s) to us. The return shipping cost will be deducted from your refund total. Original shipping costs including standard ground and/or expedited shipping costs are not able to be refunded at this time. 

Please note that we do not refund credit card and transaction fees. These fees and costs will be deducted from the total amount of your refund. Any fees charged by your payment company and/or credit card merchant cannot be refunded by us.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.

Items that are returned due to buyer's remorse, refused delivery, or returned without being in their original shipped condition are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Please review our product descriptions carefully as all measurements, dimensions, and weights are listed on our product web pages.  Please ensure that your return order is packaged in the same way that it arrived (items must include all tags, be free of any signs of use, stored in original storage bag if applicable). 

We reserve the right to deny credit if the returned merchandise does not meet our return policy requirements.

Items returned that were a part of a larger order that qualified for free shipping will require the buyer purchase their own return shipping label. If an item is returned and the total original order value falls below our free shipping policy, the buyer will be responsible for purchasing their own return shipping label.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on clearance items or gift cards. Sale items may be eligible only for store credit.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. Please note that we do not refund credit card and transaction fees. These fees and costs will be deducted from the total amount of your refund.
